My name is Adriel Lora and I am a junior at Ringwood High School. I attend Northwest Technology Center in Fairview, OK. I would like to run for the State BPA Executive Council because I would love to learn how to lead this great organization at the State level and develop my leadership skills to a new level during my senior year. The opportunity to be a part of the State Executive Council would give me a chance to meet other BPA members and learn new ideas and skills from them. I am bilingual and I am actually more fluent in Spanish than I am in English so becoming an officer at the state level would be a learning curve for me. To stand in front of the BPA membership and enhance my speaking skills in English would be challenging, but it is important to develop our courage so we can help others when they are seeking courage. If a person is not taking on new initiatives and sometimes making mistakes, then that person is never going to grow personally or professionally. As Zig Ziglar once said, “You cannot climb the ladder of success dressed in the costume of failure.”
Greetings Oklahoma BPA! My name is Brannon Watts and I am a Junior at Cushing High School. This year, I have completed Level 1 of the National Student Certification Series, ran for office in my local BPA chapter, served as Chair for my chapter’s Chain of Love Committee, am currently serving as the Chair of the Leadership Committee, and am an active member of the Service Committee! I have also helped serve as a Youth Leader in my local church Youth Ministries, and work part-time at my local Wal-Mart. I really enjoy helping others, and I would love to help give Oklahoma BPA more opportunities to serve others, and our local communities, through acts of leadership and service. In the words of Kenneth Blanchard, “The key to successful leadership is influence, not authority.” Through the State Executive Council, the officer team gets the chance to be a positive voice for all chapters across Oklahoma. They also have many opportunities to support and grow the organization by both their positive actions and deeds. These are the qualities which have inspired me to submit my application for the 2021-2022 Oklahoma BPA State Executive Council and I humbly ask for your support.
My name is Brighton Snow, I am applying for BPA State Council because I want to ensure every individual BPA member can continue to be proud of the future of the organization. That they are provided with any available resource needed to achieve their business dreams and goals. I joined BPA shortly after starting Multimedia, my instructor encouraged me to join Business Professionals of America, I did some research and found that it helps students develop business skills through leadership events, competitions and seminars. Upon joining the club, I was nominated to be president and my experience had been awesome.

My name is Dillon Henry and I have been in Business Professionals of America for almost four years now. I’m running for the 2021-2022 State Executive Council as a way to show my support and faithfulness to the organization that is OKBPA. Throughout my years as a member, I have taken a great interest in the leadership opportunities offered by the local, state, and national levels of BPA.
My experience in BPA has shown me just how much communication means to not just the OKBPA members, but the national membership as a whole. However, I’ve taken notice that the members could have more of a say in what goes on outside their chapter.
As a State Officer, I would do my most to support my fellow officers, and help them plan and execute their ideas. In addition, I want to take into consideration the ideas of the members. I would like to increase the flow of ideas between State Officers and members by creating systems where suggestions can be submitted for review by the SEC and emphasizing the use of social media.

Hello, Oklahoma BPA! My name is Hallee Schonfield. I am an adult student from Central Tech in Drumright and a graduate from Bristow High School. I have completed the BPA National Student Certification Series (Levels 1 and 2), serve as my BPA Chapter President, am a member of both the Social and Chain of Love Committees, am pursuing the Ambassador Torch Award Candidate and am finalizing materials to compete in the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management Team competitions. I have raised funds for Oklahoma Special Olympics, donate regularly to the Ronald McDonald house, and am a frequent blood donor. I also assist local social services by organizing, packaging, and delivering food items. These activities require a high level of dedication, commitment, communication, and innovation. Per Dr. Albert Szent-Györgyi, “Innovation is seeing what everyone has seen and thinking what nobody has thought.” I believe finding new ways to do things is always important, and can diversify and strengthen programs. Having a caring, concise, creative mindset, and strategic focus on keeping chapters and new members involved, will be my focus if elected to serve as a member of the Oklahoma BPA State Executive Council.
